Chance to Shine - Cricket Festival

A huge well done to all the children that took part in the Chance to Shine cricket festival at Sutton Coldfield Cricket club on Monday 26th June. The children were brilliant ambassadors for the school, playing with perseverance, sportsmanship and enjoyment. The children continued to grow in confidence throughout the day and as such played some excellent cricket. Following the event the Warwickshire cricket coach took the time to say what wonderful children we have at Deanery and how it had been one of his favourite schools to come and work with. So a massive well done to all the children in Y5 as well.

Football Presentation Evening

Congratulations to the Y6 football team that picked up their trophy and medals for winning the medium school league. The event took place at Sutton Town and was a great occasion for all involved.

Year 6 Girls Rounders Champs!

28/06/2017

Last week the Year 6 girls' rounders team took part in a tournament with 9 other local schools. They played together fantastically, supported each other and we had a few very exciting moments! They won their first match 11.5 rounders to 1 and the wins kept coming. They eventually beat Oasis Academy by one rounder.

Well done girls, it was lovely to watch you play, we're very proud of you!

Mixed rounders team win bronze!

15/06/2017

On Monday 12th June pupils from Y6 went to John Willmott to take part in the mixed rounders team. The team were fantastic and very supportive of each other. They made it through to the 3rd and 4th place game and beat Whitehorse Common to take the bronze medals! Well done to everyone involved!
