Circus skills in Nursery

Nursery children (and staff) enjoyed a great morning of celebration today. We had a visit from the fool monty and learnt some circus skills as well as going on a big toddle to raise money for Barnadoes.

My mate fancies you!

Year 6 enjoyed a visit from Loudmouth Theatre Productions this morning as part of their RSE curriculum. The two visitors put on a play that showed Year 6 a little bit about what they might experience over the next few years as they head off to secondary school. The play was great and Y6 enjoyed it very much. Thank you Loudmouth!

Y6 Shelter building

On the 25th May Y6 became refugees for the day! As part of their migration topic, Y6 designed shelters that they could sleep in, using materials they could collect from school and at home. They worked in teams and the vast majority were very successful!

Y6 Crime and punishment throughout the ages

Y6 have been learning about crime and punishment through the ages. Today we looked at the Anglo Saxon justice system. The Wergild system. Did you know that different body parts had a different value. Your attacker had to pay compensation for your injuries e.g. For a lost finger they would have to pay you 6 shillings, 50 shillings for a lost foot!
