Pupil Premium 2015- 2016
In 2011-12 the Government launched Pupil Premium Funding; this is additional grant funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between these children and their peers and to support children and young people with parents in the regular armed forces. Children are identified as eligible for Pupil Premium if they are eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) or have been eligible for FSM’s within the last 6 years.
All Pupil Premium is paid directly to the school for the purposes of the school i.e. for the educational benefit of pupils registered at that school. Deanery CE Primary School carefully ring-fences the funding and then allocates this money to a variety of initiatives which help ensure disadvantaged pupils reach their full potential, both academically and socially.
