National Smile Month

National Smile Month: At Busy Berries we have been learning about teeth by joining in with National Smile Month. The children made a smiley mouth to take home and were challenged to take a photograph of themselves smiling. We practiced cleaning our teeth using the giant mouth. This led onto painting pictures of our faces and thinking about all the features.

Investigating the World

Investigating the World: In Busy Berries we have been investigating the world around us. This started off in our science lead role play area with mini beasts. We then incubated eggs and watched as the chicks hatched. We can now hold them if we are gentle. This week we have had a visit from the dogs trust. Buster the dog came along with his owner who explained to us about how to behave around dogs. We were able to introduce ourselves to Buster if she said that it was OK.

Dinosaurs

11/11/2015

On Monday the children planted cress seeds in the dinosaur swamp. We watered them each day. Here it is Wednesday and we can see the cress beginning to grow. We are hoping that the dinosaurs will enjoy eating it by the end of the week.
